In this second series we boldly move from Tchimpounga's history to its future. Building on the success of the first series we follow our familiar characters such as Dr Rebeca Atencia and Dr Jane Goodall plus chimps Wounda, Lemba, Motambo, Anzac and Jeje. With our unique access we'll delve deeper into the science behind rehabilitating chimpanzees, adding a whole new layer of interest, engagement and hope as we follow a group of very special chimps, on their exciting journey towards release.
But this journey isn't an easy one, with many challenges to overcome - can the release group bond together strongly enough? Guided by experts like chimp psychologist Dr. Alexandra Rosati, we'll see first-hand what it takes to be part of the release group, and on the way, we'll discover deeper truths about chimp society, and what really makes our closest cousins tick.
