ZDF Enterprises Teaming With Rosa Entertainment On The Thornton Brothers' "The Incorruptibles"
Los Angeles / Mainz, Germany, 22nd November 2017
Germany’s ZDF Enterprises has pre-emptively purchased Chris and Jason Thornton's series pitch "The Incorruptibles."
The series will be executive produced by Rosa Entertainment’s Sidney Sherman ("Lonely Hearts"), Robert Franke at ZDF Enterprises, and the Thornton brothers.
The storyline is being kept under wraps for the hour-long English-language drama series but it is said to be a high concept, violent action-thriller with satirical black comedy elements.
An international co-production, ZDF Enterprises and Rosa Entertainment will develop the script and package it before taking it to market. ZDF Enterprises will handle worldwide sales.
"We are extremely excited to be working with ZDF Enterprises on developing such a high-octane, envelope-pushing show and bringing it to not only viewers in the states but a global audience. The incredible support we’ve seen for our creative vision from ZDF Enterprises has been energizing and inspiring to say the least, and we can’t wait to deliver it to the masses," the Thornton brothers said.
Robert Franke, VP ZDFE.drama at ZDF Enterprises: "We are very proud of the collaboration with Sidney and the Thorntons. Our project "The Incorruptibles" is an important cornerstone of our new collaboration strategy with US producers. It will help ZDF Enterprises to further diversify its catalogue of high quality drama series by adding a new program color in the much underserved segment of high concept action series."
Sidney Sherman is currently executive producing "The Last Full Measure," writer/director Todd Robinson’s Vietnam drama starting Samuel L. Jackson, Sebastian Stan, William Hurt, Ed Harris, and Christopher Plummer which is in post. In addition, Sherman produced Eddie Rosenstein’s critically-acclaimed documentary feature "The Freedom to Marry" now showing on Netflix. Most recently, Sherman set up Cameron Alexander's feature spec "Heart of the Beast" with Daniela Taplin Lundberg's Stay Gold Features.
The Thornton brothers are repped by UTA, Rosa Entertainment, and attorney Vince Waldman. Sherman was repped by attorney Frank Stewart, and ZDF Enterprises by Loeb & Loeb and in-house counsel.
