ZDF Enterprises sells package of 280 episodes of children’s television to AMC Networks International Central Europe

ZDF Enterprises is delighted to continue its long-standing partnership with AMC Networks International Central Europe with the signing of a deal for a package of children’s and young people’s programmes. The contract, soon to be finalised, will cover a number of popular live action and animation shows, totalling around 280 individual episodes.
The new agreement includes three seasons of Dance Academy, a series soon to be brought to the big screen with the cinema release of Dance Academy – The Comeback early next year. The feature film is backed by ZDF and ZDF Enterprises.
Also included in the package along with the Dance Academy series are two seasons of The New Adventures of Peter Pan and one each of The Elephant Princess, H2O – Mermaid Adventure, Sherlock Yack, Wendy and Marsu, as well as four 75-minute Pettson and Findus movies.
The deal will license the programmes to be shown on the Minimax and Megamax channels in Central and Eastern European countries including Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Moldova, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Slovenia and Croatia.
