ZDF Enterprises brings Emmy Award-winning programs to DISCOP 2006

Mainz, 19th June 2006

Chills, goosebumps, suspense - This year, it's crime-time viewing at its best in Budapest! For those who want their chills ice-cold, the investigative series 'The Eagle' (24 x 60' or 12 x 100') is the perfect choice: with its Nordic freshness, brisk pacing, sharp dialogues, and an International Emmy for best drama, it has already conquered audiences all over the world.

International buyers will also be treated for the first time to ZDF Enterprises' new police series 'The Specialists - Rhein-Main Crime Squad' (20 x 45'), a team that fights lawbreakers in and around Frankfurt.

Gentler, more emotional fare is provided by the top-of-the-line telenovela 'Julia - Way to Happiness' (250 x 43'), in which the title heroine and the love of her life fight for their happiness. There are also new episodes of ZDF’s internationally beloved romance collections: three new 'Rosamunde Pilcher' films and two new 'Inga Lindström' and 'The Holiday Doctor' films, all shot with top stars at breathtaking locations.

Christian Massmann, ZDF Enterprises’ Head of Sales: "Finally, we are also pleased to present several new, outstandingly researched and produced documentaries such as 'Goering', 'Metropolis', the International Emmy Award-winning 'Drama of Dresden' and the docu-drama 'The Prophet: John Paul II - Drama and Secret'."
