ZDF Enterprises announces program line-up for its 25th company anniversary at MIPCOM

ZDF Enterprises, the sales and distribution arm of German pubcaster ZDF, has announced its line-up of new productions in its genres ZDFE.drama, ZDFE.entertainment, ZDFE.factual and ZDFE.junior for this fall’s TV industry trade fair MIPCOM (Cannes, 16th -19th October).
Amongst the major highlights are, only to name a few:
- Tabula Rasa (9 x 50'), the psychological thriller about Mie, a young woman with amnesia who is locked up in a secure psychiatric hospital.
- School of Roars (52 x 7'), the animation series that helps children prepare for school life by exploring a child’s first year through the relationships and experiences of our mini monsters.
- The Manipulation Game - How social media influence our views (60'), the docutainment that reveals the major mechanisms of opinion shaping in social media.
- Size Matters (2 x 50'), the documentary that explores a fascinating web of scientific concepts to uncover not just why things are as they are, but why they could never be any different.
ZDF Enterprises will also hold two events open to all MIPCOM attendees: on Monday, October, 16th, starting at 6 pm, the company introduces the creative minds behind ZDF's latest slate of contemporary drama, Zarah - Wild Times and Balaton Residence, featuring extraordinary female characters at the Salon Royan of the Hotel Majestic. On Tuesday, October, 17th, award-winning actress Veerle Baetens and the creators of the new psychological thriller Tabula Rasa (9 x 50') will be present at a panel discussion and screening from 10:00 am to 11:15 am in Auditorium K of the Palais des Festivals.
MIPCOM 2017 will also mark the official farewell of Alexander Coridass from the MIP markets. He will be resigning from his position as President and CEO at ZDF Enterprises for entirely personal reasons, effective at the end of this year. His position as Spokesman of the Management Board will be assumed by Fred Burcksen, who will be managing the company together with Co-Managing Director Stephan Adrian.
