ZDF Enterprises and Premiere sign Program Agreement for Series and TV Movies

Several hundred hours of programming to start on PREMIERE SERIE on 16th May 2005

Munich and Mainz, 23rd March 2005

Premiere and ZDF Enterprises have signed a program supply agreement to remain in effect for several years which covers the genres drama, comedy and romance. Starting with the Whit holidays 2005, a large number of ZDF programs will grace the PREMIERE SERIE channel. They will be followed in June by TV movies shown on weekends. The programs include series such as “Samt and Seide“ (“Velvet and Silk“), “Girlfriends“, “Unser Lehrer Dr. Specht“ (“Our Teacher Dr. Specht“) “Die Nesthocker“ (“The Stay-at-homes“) and the widow comedy-drama “Die Biester“ (“The Wretches“).

Hans Seger, Head of Programming at Premiere: “We are delighted with this co-operation agreement. Now, in addition to international series highlights, Premiere is able to offer subscribers top-quality German programs on one channel. This is an indication that we are investing in attractive program content which will appeal particularly to women, adding to the family entertainment status of PREMIERE SERIE.“

Alexander Coridass, Chairman and CEO of ZDF Enterprises: “This package enables us to license program rights resting directly with either ZDF or ZDF Enterprises to our long-standing partner Premiere over a period of several years. This agreement means that our first-class series have now found a suitable slot on subscriber television.“
