The LITTLE MAINZ MEN Christmas penalty shoot-out - the most Christmassy penalty shoot-out since the invention of the iPhone!

App now available in the Apple App Store for iPhone and iPad touch

Mainz, December 21, 2011

Christmas has been saved: The LITTLE MAINZ MEN app has arrived! The mascots of German Pubcaster ZDF have enjoyed cult status for more than 50 years. Now, ZDF Enterprises and the Hamburg App Developers from Labor 1 are taking the cute fellows to the next level: the LITTLE MAINZ MEN (German: Mainzelmaennchen) are making their debut on the iPhone. Fritzchen is the first to make an appearance in the Christmas penalty shoot-out app for iPhone and iPod touch.

In 11 exciting Christmas levels, try to get the round ball into the big rectangular hole (as if you needed to ask). That shouldn't be a problem for Fritzchen, experienced soccer player that he is - except, there are lots of presents in the way! Skillfully use these obstacles and other obstacles on the way to the goal in order to earn bonus points. The best penalty takers can scoop up LITTLE MAINZ MEN prizes right up to end of the year. The best points collectors can look forward to surprise packages, and the most successful of all can even win an app-compatible MP3 player with a LITTLE MAINZ MEN engraving.

Please use this URL to the app in the app store:

And then in January Anton, Berti, Conni, Det and Edi will join in with more levels and lots of new challenges.

The Christmas penalty shoot-out app is available now free of charge in the Apple App Store, exclusive to the iPhone and iPod touch. Further information on the app is available at
