New York Festivals World’s Best TV & Films 2016 awards two Documentaries from the ZDF Enterprises Program Catalogue

At the renowned New York Festivals World’s Best TV & Films, no fewer than two productions from ZDF Enterprises’ program catalogue were honored with awards:

In the international competition, the documentary Stalin’s Daughter in the category group Television - Documentary/Information Program, category Biography/Profiles with the Silver World Medal.

For the episode Spring’s Awakening, the two-part documentary The Secret Garden, the Gold World Medal in the category Television - Craft: Program, for Best Camerawork.

About the Productions:

The documentary Stalin’s Daughter produced by doc.station Medienproduktion in association with ZDF, ZDF Enterprises and ARTE examines the life of Stalin’s daughter Swetlana Allilujewa, who fled to the West during the Cold War. Her desire for liberty turned her into a plaything between communism and capitalism.

The Secret Garden was produced by Doclights / NDR Naturfilm in association with Nautilusfilm, ORF – Österreichischer Rundfunk, ARTE and Norddeutscher Rundfunk. By means of high-budget, high-speed cinematography, HD super slow-motion and extraordinary macrophotos, the award-winning filmmakers show us gardens like no one has ever seen before.
