Exciting thrillers and documentaries: ZDF Enterprises inks content deal with LOVEFiLM
Munich and Mainz, 26th February 2013
LOVEFiLM, Amazon’s online video shop, is once again adding many new Video-on-Demand titles online this month: the content deal with ZDF Enterprises offers many fantastic highlights, especially for fans of Scandinavian thrillers and premium documentaries.
Among the crime series are Arne Dahl, Verdict Revised and Commissario Montalbano. The lavishly produced documentaries Die Deutschen, Der Heilige Krieg and Universum der Ozeane ensure many gripping and informative hours. But there’s also a lot in store for younger viewers:
Dance Academy, Der Kleine Nick and Lauras Stern are also included in the ZDF Enterprises portfolio.
LOVEFiLM subscribers with a rental package starting at EUR 6.99 per month can call up the ZDF Enterprises titles as well as many other film and series highlights without a time restriction. It is possible to stream the digital LOVEFiLM titles as VoD via PC or connected TV sets.
The LOVEFiLM offering is already directly integrated into the Internet-compatible Sony Bravia Home Theater system, the Xbox 360 as well as PlayStation3. Moreover, with the LOVEFiLM app, films can be streamed directly on the iPad and Amazon’s Kindle Fire apparatus that has been available since October 2012. Many titles are also available in HD quality and are thus particularly well suited for viewing on the Kindle Fire HD, which boasts lush colors and sharp contrasts from every angle with its high-quality HD display.
Dr. Christoph Schneider, CEO of LOVEFiLM Germany, states that: “The content deal with ZDF Enterprises is a genuine plus for our LOVEFiLM subscribers; the extremely multi-faceted titles will ensure outstanding entertainment on a high level.”
Alexander Coridass, President and CEO of ZDF Enterprises, adds: We are very delighted that such a broad selection of superior-quality programs from our extensive catalogue are available as of now from LOVEFiLM as Video-on-Demand.”
In the past months LOVEFiLM has concluded many content deals with further studios and film distributors such as Disney, Warner, Paramount, MGM, Studiocanal, Prokino, Koch Media, Tobis, BBC, Miramax and Universum.
