During a nighttime mission in a junkyard, Sarah Kohr, a young and dedicated policewoman, kills a man she wrongly thought was about to attack her. Her partner Berger takes the edge off by making it look like an act of self-defense. Her colleagues send a traumatized and reluctant Sarah away on paid leave in order to forget about the ordeal. But just as Sarah is at the airport and about to embark on her journey, she happens to witness the father of a young boy, Lino, being shot. Instinctively, she saves the shocked child from the killer, dragging him onto the next passing train. She proceeds to hide Lino at her grandfather’s lonely mountain hut in Tyrol, but even there, safety is fleeting. With the killer hot on their trail, Sarah begins to understand that she’s dealing with the mafia. And it seems her colleagues are caught up in it, too.
