Famous tenor Ingo Soltan and Ingrid Lindbergh are giving a house concert at the Lindbergh mansion in front of the entire family. Stefan brings Amelie along, but would have done better to wait for another opportunity. Albrecht’s condescending and jealous comments don’t create a festive mood and everybody is relieved once the embarrassing evening is over.
Albert Weirich, a passionate opera admirer, sneaks into Soltan’s hotel room and forces Soltan to sing “Tristan” for him as he never had a chance to see the opera in Bayreuth. Amelie enters the room without a clue but is able to free Soltan after she realizes what is going on.
Jana is pregnant. Ingrid hears the good news first and is overwhelmed.
Family Monk asks Stefan to continue to play the role of Mareike’s husband. Mareike complains about Amelie over a dry bouquet of black roses she got from her. Stefan is irritated and wonders if the woman he loves would do such a thing.
