When art dealer Egon Wallin (Peter Andersson) is found murdered in his gallery after an exhibition opening, Robert and his team face a dilemma: the killer placed a valuable painting next to his victim, and destroyed it. The painting – The Dying Dandy – had recently been stolen from a museum. Further stolen paintings are found in the gallery’s archives. There is no doubt about it: Wallin was involved in illegal art dealing. Both his partner Hugo Malmberg (Johan Kjellgren) and Wallin’s wife Monika (Marika Lagercrantz) claim to know nothing about this.
